A concrete table is not unbreakable. The material is both very strong and at the same time fairly fragile. It is susceptible to wear and tear in the same way as most wooden tables. Corners and edges can get notches.

There is a crack in everything that’s how the light gets in

The topsurface is soft and smooth.
We have different kinds of surface treatments for our table and bench tops. You can choose whether you want a surface that is sealed or a surface that is more open.
A sealed surface is coated and endures quite a lot without changing colour or getting stained. If you prefer a constant surface, you should choose a coated top, which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The open surface will change when beeing used –in the same way as e.g. leather it will age and stain. However, if you want to avoid too many stains, we recommend that you protect your table or bench top by regularly retreating the surface with the Storm&Müller surface kit that comes with the table, and instantly removing whatever you may spill on it that contains acid e.g. coffee, tea, wine, oil, vinegar and sunscreen.

The iron base comes in two different versions.
The light grey, electro galvanized version is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The dark, sharp-edged version is suitable for indoor use only.
